In Our Community

Belonging to FPCO involves more than an hour of worship each Sunday.  Our members are committed to doing Christ’s work in our community by serving those in need.  We are first called to serve those in our neighborhood.  In addition to the Hope School and the Sunday Night Dinners for the homeless, FPCO’s mission opportunities help provide clothing to the naked, shelter for the homeless, food boxes to the hungry and care for infants of young single mothers.

To support our larger community, our members volunteer to serve at the Second Harvest Food Bank, sorting and packaging food to provide meals to 200,000 hungry residents of Orange County every month. Some of our members serve at the Friendly Center tutoring children or for Mentor Me working with young boys with no father in the home.  Many of our church members of all ages participate in our annual trip to Mexico to build homes for needy families.

This church has a rich history of nurturing children and youth with a sense of serving Christ in the world.  Many youth from our church have grown up to be full time missionaries, ministers, nurses and others serving Christ.  Our members have continued to support some of these missions on an ongoing basis.
