While we wouldn't go quite so far as to say that "Education" is our middle name - we have a great variety of well-attended educational opportunites for all ages. This is a church that believes in the importance of truly understanding our place in God's world and strives to constantly increase our knowledge.
The Lord’s Day
Every Sunday morning there are a variety of Bible Studies available for all ages. These studies are on a four week schedule. Please see the web site, newsletter, or weekly bulletin for the available classes each month.
ONE Night
Our Middle School and High School students meet together on Wednesday nights for ONE big night of games, worship and teaching. This is a high energy group with a biblical message. We are always looking for new people to make our ONE family grow. Come and join us on Wednesday at 7 pm in the basement.
Events
On top of our weekly programs are exciting activities that take us all over California. This includes trips to: Lake Shasta, San Francisco, Sacramento, Lake San Antonio, Santa Cruz, and many small towns in between. We swim, sail, wakeboard, tube, worship, pray, play cards, get sun burnt and serve local churches along the way. This is always a wonderful week!
We also go to Mexico to build houses in Tijuana. There are trips to Magic Mountain, Raging Waters, the movies and ‘all nighters’ to the ice rink. If you are looking for something to do, come to church.
Children
Kidzone – Kids focus on God in their own way and experience worship through fun songs, games and memorable ‘hands on’ Bible learning. They will then come together again to bring God’s love into the world with our “Kids in the World” program. E-mail james@firstpresorange.org for more information.
Vacation Bible School
Summer is full of hot dogs, beach trips and Vacation Bible School (VBS). This week long program based on a biblical theme brings all of the local children to the church to explore God in different ways. We have a variety of activities including music, arts, crafts, games, and study that relate to the theme. VBS is always an exciting week! Adults
Word and Wine- Experience a deeper understanding of Sunday’s sermon by joining us Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. for a study of the upcoming Sunday’s lectionary and enjoy food and a glass of wine in the Grand Street Center.
Coffee Break
On Wednesday mornings our women meet at 9:30 a.m. in McAulay Hall for an informal Bible Study and fellowship. Childcare is provided. Women of all ages are welcome to join us. E-mail Nancy Blake at dnb746@aol.com for more information or if childcare is needed.
